General Requirements

General requirements of janitorial specifications are listed below:

  • Any schedule weekend work is to be scheduled with the facility maintenance manager

Prior to work being performed.

  • No work is to be performed in the office between 8:00 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday – Friday due to facility is staffed for those hours.
  • Care is to be taken to conserve water and power beyond that which is required for the performance of duties.
  • Every effort is made to observe and report any unusual occurrences during the time in the building.
  •  Any problem that may arise during the work schedule is to be reported. A message is to be left on the facility’s desk.
  • All building rules and regulations are to be complied with.
  • All employees are subject to a search of handbags, purses, etc. upon leaving the premises.
  • Criminal record checks on all current employees working in the building are provided; copies of documents are to be forwarded to property management.
  • Vendor is responsible for complying with all rules and regulations set forth by local government authorities and O.S.H.A.


  • Performance of their job duties.
  • Operation of power equipment
  • Hazardous materials/right to know
  • First Aid training for supervisors

The following Holidays are observed and no services need to be provided (this list is subject to change on a yearly basis):

  • New Year’s Day
  • Memorial Day
  • Independence Day
  • Labor Day
  • Thanksgiving Day
  • Christmas Day
